FAQ
How much does this cost?
We accept most major insurance plans and will tell you (via email) about any out of pocket costs (copay, deductibles etc) before your first appointment. 90% of our clients pay $25 or less in co-pay per session. If you don’t have insurance coverage, don’t worry. We partner with local, state and federal agencies as well as commercial partners, to fund care. We will do all we can to make sure that your care is highly affordable. We promise to make the process as painless as possible for you!
What is the program?
Our program entails weekly sessions with a master's level licensed counselor who is specially trained in helping people who struggle with specific behavioral compulsions. You will meet with your counselor via zoom on a weekly basis. There are several optional extras that you can add to your program once you begin (also covered by insurance) including: weekly group therapy, family therapy and couples/spousal therapy. In your initial meeting with your counselor they will help you build the right program for you.
How long does it take until I meet with a counselor?
If you complete your onboarding assessment today, we will submit your validation of insurance to your insurance provider later today or early tomorrow. Once we hear back from them, we will email / text you with your co-pay/deductible information and get you scheduled with your counselor.
Are the sessions In Person or Virtual?
We offer virtual appointments. This means that you can have the session from the comfort of your home or another secure location. Our groups are virtual as well. The only thing we ask is that you are in a safe, secure place with good internet connection!
How do I get back in contact with you?
The best way to get into contact with us is our main phone number (833) 483-3838. You can either call or text us at that number. If you prefer email, please reach out to us at help@bircheshealth.com.

Birches Health offers virtual care from the comfort of home with licensed expert therapists specialized in problem gambling treatment. Sessions are combined with exercises and wellness practices from a foundation of gambling addiction recovery.
What does Birches Health treatment look like?
Birches Health offers individual, family, couples, and group counseling from specialized therapists. Frequency and type of sessions are based on individuals' needs determined by our clinical team. During each sessions, a therapist works with a patient on controlling urges, understanding the pitfalls of gambling, and learning modules designed to enhance handling of cravings.
How do I know if treatment is right for me?
If you're wondering whether problem gambling treatment is right for you, consider if you struggle with uncontrollable urges to gamble, if it's negatively impacting your relationships, work, or finances, or if you often chase losses. Other signs include lying about your gambling, experiencing emotional distress like guilt or anxiety, or facing financial problems due to gambling. If you've tried to quit but haven’t succeeded, treatment can provide support, tools, and strategies to help you regain control and lead a healthier life.
