Porn addiction has historically not been something discussed publicly, largely due to the negative stigma associated with the behavioral addiction. In more recent years, some celebrities have begun to speak out about their own struggles with porn addiction and how it has impacted their lives. Celebrities who decided to also become advocates in the fight against porn addiction may help inspire those who didn’t know about its legitimacy or were hesitant to get help and make positive steps towards their own recovery.
Celebrities with Porn Addiction who shared their struggles
Billie Eilish
In 2021, music superstar Billie Eilish was a guest on “The Howard Stern Show” and discussed how she started watching porn at the age of 11 and the immense negative impact it had on her mental and emotional health. Eilish detailed how much of the porn she watched was violent and abusive and caused her to have nightmares. It caused her to have a very skewed perception of what acceptable and normal sexual behavior looked like when she began dating and engaging in sexual relationships as well.
Eilish explained how watching porn made her feel like “one of the guys” and helped her fit in better when making friends, but at the same time made her feel like she had to wear baggy clothes to hide her body and prevent anyone from commenting on it. Eilish put the pain of her porn addiction into her songwriting and wrote “Male Fantasy”. This song paints a picture of Eilish home alone and using porn to distract herself from a painful broken relationship.
Kanye West
Kanye “Ye” West has voiced polarizing views on many topics over the years, including porn. He admitted in 2018 that he frequently looks at PornHub, especially after they offered him a free lifetime premium membership. West also stated that he had a full-on porn addiction that destroyed his family, but at that time did not indicate any desire to stop.
In 2022, West spoke out that he was going to take a thirty day “fast” from sex, alcohol and porn to cleanse himself. In 2024, West announced via X that he was going to launch his own adult film studio, Yeezy Porn, bringing forth even more controversy to his unpredictable behavior and stance regarding porn. In early April 2025, West announced his newest album “WW3” tracklist, with titles including “Dirty Magazines” which is about his porn addiction. Whether or not West has taken steps to get support for his porn addiction remains unclear.

Justin Baldoni
Amidst a very public battle with Blake Lively in 2024, Justin Baldoni’s history with porn addiction was reviested and brought into the public eye. In 2021, Baldoni described that his unhealthy relationship with porn began when he was exposed to graphic material at the age of 10. Baldoni explained that before he even understood sex, his hormones took over and caused him to use porn to soothe any negative emotions or experiences he would have.
He also raised an interesting point regarding porn, stating that when young men watch porn they are essentially learning about consent, but in a violent and unrealistic way. When young men hear things such as, “No, stop or that hurts”, they could think that is a good reaction based on the unrealistic scenarios they see in porn versus true consent.
Russell Brand
Russell Brand has famously used raunchy stories about sex to launch his comedy career, but has also spoken out about the negative impact that porn addiction had on his life. Brand, who has openly admitted struggling with both substance abuse and porn addiction, said that porn addiction affected his ability to relate to women, his own spirituality and sexuality and to himself.
Brand partnered with anti-pornogrophy nonprofit Fight The New Drug in 2015 and speaks to others about his journey to abstinence from porn and the overall negative influence it can have on one's life. Brand has recently been in the headlines again after being charged with allegations of rape and sexual assault, dating back to the early 2000s. Brand has denied these allegations.
Lamar Odom
Lamar Odom, famously married to Khloe Kardashian from 2009 to 2016, publicly struggled with drug and alcohol addiction in 2015, which ended in him seeking out treatment. While those issues were being dealt with, his porn addiction continued.
In 2019, Odom spoke out that he was working towards a healthier lifestyle and gave up watching porn after it negatively impacted his relationship with his fiance, who helped him download a porn blocking app to help add a barrier to it. Odom admitted in an interview in 2021 that he would often be late to the team bus on game days because he wanted to watch porn, with each instance costing him a $5,000 fine.
