On March 4th, the sports betting operator Sporttrade and Birches Health, a New York-based behavioral health services provider specializing in online counseling and resources for gambling addicts, revealed a responsible gambling partnership. The announcement aligns with the commencement of Problem Gambling Awareness Month. This collaboration will prominently feature Birches Health's resources and services on Sporttrade's betting app.
As part of the partnership, Birches Health will provide new resources, including education, learning modules, content, and resources to encourage healthy behaviors, with a focus on addressing problem gambling.
When asked about potential collaborations with established organizations in the responsible gambling space, Rapaport highlighted a growing focus on forming partnerships with leaders in problem gambling, responsible gambling, and harm reduction.
In terms of proactive measures, Sporttrade plans to introduce Birches to its customer base through an email campaign. The email will include ten tips for betting responsibly, emphasizing the importance of understanding the entertainment aspect of sports betting, setting spending limits, and recognizing the signs of at-risk gambling behaviors.
Sporttrade CEO Alex Kane acknowledged the evolving nature of their customer base and stressed the importance of preparing for potential challenges as Sporttrade continues to grow. The collaboration with Birches Health underscores Sporttrade's commitment to fostering a responsible and informed gambling environment for its users.
